For generations, the Montresor family has lived in this delightful village, Corte Gioliare in Colà di Lazise, where vines have found the ideal climate and soil. Initially, farmers or sharecroppers cultivated the grapes. which were delivered to the land owners and the wine produced was barely enough for family consumption.
In about 1970, when the agricultural laws were changed, grandfather Giuseppe Montresor purchased some land and also started to make wine to sell.
It was only in 1989 that Giovanni and Giacomo began to market all their products.
Since 2012, Giovanni Montresor has headed the company together with his offspring, Luca, Mara and Sonia, offering the public a wide range of wines, honey and oil.
All the different phases, from tending the vineyards to the winemaking process, are directly carried out by father and son.
